Vance Joy Cancels Meredith Performance

Unfortunately here at Meredith HQ we got some bad news this afternoon (Monday 9 December). Vance Joy was scheduled to perform at Meredith23 this coming Friday afternoon, but has had to cancel that performance.

Here is the word from Vance Joy’s people:

Following doctors orders and to prevent the risk of permanent damage, Vance Joy has been placed on vocal rest for the foreseeable future. As a result Vance Joy has to cancel his performance at Meredith Music Festival. We want to thank you for your understanding and well wishes. James and band are absolutely shattered, but his long term health has to be our priority here and therefore must follow doctors orders. This has been a really tough decision to make, given James’ personal affinity with the festival. 

We wish James the speediest of recoveries and hope he is back in full voice very soon.
